Blogging Virgin

Yes, I admit it. I am a blogging virgin!!! I'm jumping into the deep end of the pool, yet I only seem to know the basic doggie paddle. Anybody else overwhelmed by how seemingly easy other people's websites pop up? And how easily they seem to fill them? Or how they squeeze out time I worry I may not have to keep this up?
And I also admit, I am an aspiring author. Never expected that, did you? Huh, Huh? I'm hoping getting my name out there on the web will help with networking. I also hope it will help me better myself and my writing. Keep me on a fixed schedule. I'm a new addition to KYRWA, and I am really enjoying meeting new people. The first meeting I went to Kay Stockham was the guest speaker, and I have to tell you, she was soooo sweet. When I left the meeting, I went home and pounded out a scene that was really heartwrenching. Her subject had been putting emotion into your writing, and it really inspired me. Surprisingly so.
Anyway, if you're wondering about the name, let me explain it a bit. We live on a hundred acres in northern Kentucky, and we have animals. Big and small. I have 4 1/2 horses. The 1/2 is my miniature stud Moose. At 29 1/2 inches tall, he strongly believes he runs the farm. And he does, to a certain extent. I can't keep the little bugger out of anything. He was the first to sample the garden this summer, and always manages to wedge through the gate to clean up the chicken food. If the driveway gate is open, he's in the yard. Guaranteed. Stinker. Yes, that's him above. Tucker on the left, Spirit on the right.
I have 4 other horses. The only normal one is Bud, a 24 y.o. registered quarter horse. Spirit and Tucker are both appaloosas, with nary a spot between them. Tucker has a few areas with white hairs, but it looks more like bird crap. And Buck is a whitish Heinz 57. I was told he's part quarter and part walker, and he does rack a bit, when he's really thinking about it, but he's really too fat. Nobody else would see any value in my animals, but I love them dearly.
My husband just shakes his head at me.
I've got to tie this up for tonight. I will be back tomorrow. I will.
